Two black and white drawings of dog heads, one in the top left corner and one larger in the bottom center, both showing snarling expressions.
A close-up of a glittery, sparkly object, possibly a book or a decorative item, in a dark setting with reflections.

Eric “Santo Smurf” Marquez practice follows an iconclastic aesthetic, mixing cultural refrences and lived fragments into a layered visual language. Influenced by his LA, chicano background, skate/surf, and contemporary culture, his work reflects both personal memory and broader social undercurrents. He paints like he’s chasing ghosts, fragments of heritage, fleeting moments, and contridications held together in tension. His world is a collage of opposites: order and disorder, beauty with scars, tradition in freefall.
